MAINTENANCE MANAGER – LUXURY LODGE GROUP | MADIKWE GAME RESERVE An exceptional opportunity exists for a highly skilled and hands-on Maintenance Manager to join a luxury lodge in the Addo National Park area. This role is suited to a technically strong, proactive individual with a passion for excellence and a deep understanding of maintaining high-end hospitality environments in remote locations. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all maintenance operations across multiple luxury lodges Implement and maintain a robust preventative maintenance programme Ensure seamless functioning of all electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems Manage and maintain: Electrical infrastructure Water systems and plumbing Air conditioning and refrigeration systems Generators and backup power systems Solar and renewable energy systems Conduct regular inspections to uphold 5-star standards across all facilities Manage maintenance team performance, training, and development Maintain stock control, procurement, and cost management of maintenance supplies Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards Liaise with lodge management to ensure minimal guest disruption and exceptional presentation at all times Candidate Requirements Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Maintenance Manager role within high-end lodges or remote hospitality environments (essential) Strong technical knowledge across: Electrical systems Plumbing Air conditioning & refrigeration Generators Solar power systems Proven track record in implementing preventative maintenance systems Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving ability Strong leadership and team management skills Ability to work independently in a remote, high-pressure environment Excellent organisational and administrative capabilities Valid driver’s license Personal Attributes Detail-driven with a commitment to exceptional standards Calm, solution-oriented, and proactive Strong sense of responsibility and accountability Passion for the luxury hospitality industry and bush environment What’s on Offer Opportunity to work within a renowned luxury lodge group Live-in position in one of South Africa’s premier wildlife destinations Competitive salary package (dependent on experience) If you are a technically strong, solutions-driven professional looking to take the next step in a world-class lodge environment, this is a standout opportunity to join an elite team.
