Position: Couple with responsibility for operational, personnel and technical matters at the Katkop Resort. Key Tasks: · The couple shares responsibility for the successful operation of the resort, in consultation with the directors and owners. · Responsibility for day-to-day resort operations and guest satisfaction · Shared responsibility for buildings, technical systems, infrastructure and facility management, as well as supply and waste management · Overseeing the reception and Front office, including bookings, check-in/check-out, guest services and complaints handling, as well as providing support in the Back office · Managing resort staff · Planning and supervising maintenance, upkeep and repairs · Ensuring technical operational readiness and quality standards · Overseeing renovations, investments and modernisation projects · Collaborating with owners, management and service providers Requirements: · Technical understanding of energy and water supply systems · Knowledge of maintenance, upkeep and facility management · Ability to make professional assessments of technical faults and capital expenditure · Good IT skills in the use of Office and booking systems and/or a willingness to learn how to use new systems. Personal profile: · Several years’ experience in tourism, resort management or a similar setting · Business acumen · Strong focus on guests and service · Technical understanding and a solution-oriented approach to work · Strong organisational skills, a hands-on approach and a high sense of responsibility · Willingness to live on the resort and to work emergency shifts outside normal working hours · Very good knowledge of Afrikaans and English. · A high degree of trust and honesty towards the owners.
