Luxury Wine Estate based close to Stellenbosch is looking for a Barista. Duties: Greeting and welcoming guests Providing beverage menus and answering questions regarding ingredients Taking orders accurately while paying attention to guest preferences such as coffee blends, dairy and sugar ratios, and preparing beverages according to established recipes and standards. Responsible for keeping the bar area clean and organised Maintaining adequate stock of clean crockery, conducting regular stock counts and placing weekly orders to ensure sufficient beverage and bar supplies are available. Checking that brewing equipment is operating correctly and reporting any maintenance requirements Complying with all health and safety regulations Maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance Ensuring that the uniform is clean, neat and in good condition. Requirements: Grade 12 Preferably 2–3 years’ previous Barista experience Passionate about the hospitality industry Hands-on experience with brewing equipment Basic maths and communication skills Ability to gauge customer preferences Strong customer service orientation and active listening skills Comfortable dealing with very distinguished clientele Must be well-presented Flexibility to work various shifts Accountability
