GUIDE TRAINER. a Big 5 Reserve in the Hoedspruit are is looking for a passionate and experienced Guide Trainer to develop, mentor and inspire our guiding team. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a knowledgeable and engaging professional who is committed to developing world-class guides, promoting a culture of continuous learning, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. The successful candidate will lead guide training, coaching and competency assessments while enhancing guiding excellence, wildlife interpretation, hospitality standards, firearm proficiency and overall professional development across the Guiding Department. Key Areas of Responsibilities: • Guide Training & Development • Game Drive Assessments & Coaching • Hospitality & Guest Experience Training • Wildlife Knowledge & Interpretation • Firearm & Safety Training • Guide Assessments, Qualifications & Professional Development • Collaboration & Departmental Support Requirements • Training Reporting & Administration Minimum Requirements: • FGASA Level 3 (Level 2 minimum with significant training experience). • Registered DEAT Nature Site Guide. • Valid PDP. • Valid First Aid Level 2 (or higher). • Valid PFTC Firearm Competency and Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) certification. • Minimum 7 years' guiding experience within a luxury safari environment. • Minimum 3 years' experience coaching, mentoring or training guides. • Proven experience conducting guide assessments. • Excellent knowledge of South African wildlife, ecology and conservation. • Computer literacy (MS Office). • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
