Private game lodge based in Kruger seeking experienced Deputy General Manager (Live in position - couples welcome)

Hands-on Deputy General Manager required for a live-in game lodge role in Welverdiend, Greater Kruger area. Responsible for supporting daily lodge operations, guest experience, staff supervision, F&B, housekeeping, stock control and administration. Couples with relevant lodge experience are also welcome to apply. Key Requirements Matric with a relevant Hospitality, Tourism or Business Management qualification, preferably NQF 5+ Approximately 3–5 years' lodge/hospitality operations experience At least 1–2 years' supervisory or management experience Previous game lodge, safari lodge or remote hospitality experience highly advantageous Strong experience in guest relations and hands-on lodge operations Understanding of F&B, housekeeping, stock control and basic financial management Strong leadership, administration and problem-solving skills PAN Hospitality or similar PMS experience advantageous Valid driver’s licence Comfortable living and working in a remote bush environment, including weekends and public holidays Professional, reliable and able to work independently Key Responsibilities Support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the lodge Oversee guest relations and overall guest experience Supervise and support lodge staff across housekeeping, F&B, front office and general operations Assist with reservations, bookings, scheduling and administration Manage stock control, ordering, procurement and supplier coordination Assist with budgets, cost controls and basic financial administration Oversee maintenance, facilities, equipment and lodge standards Coordinate guest activities and game drives with relevant teams Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire and emergency procedures Step in for the General Manager when required NOTE: This is a live-in position. Single candidate: R18,000 per month Couples are welcome to apply: where both partners are suitably experienced and employed by the lodge, the combined package will be approximately R40,000 CTC per month Accommodation provided on-site One meal per person per day while on duty For couple applications, both individuals should have relevant experience that can contribute to the day-to-day operations of the lodge.
