Description Trails Guide - 5-Star Luxury Safari Lodge - Private Big 5 Game Reserve, Waterberg Kendrick Recruitment is searching for a qualified and passionate Trails Guide for a well-regarded 5-star luxury safari lodge with 10 private suites set within a reputable private Big 5 Game Reserve in the malaria-free Waterberg District of Limpopo, just three hours from Johannesburg. This is a live-in position for a professional, guest-focused guide who delivers exceptional safari experiences and takes genuine pride in every interaction in the field. Minimum Requirements: FGASA NQF4 (Level 2) - essential and non-negotiable Lead Trails Guide qualification - essential and non-negotiable Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) - essential Valid SAPS Firearm Competency - essential SASSETA registration - essential Valid First Aid certificate (Wilderness First Aid preferred) Valid PrDP - essential NDT registration - essential Own personal rifle - highly advantageous Minimum 2 to 3 years' guiding experience in a Big Five luxury lodge environment Excellent guest interaction, hosting and communication skills Well-presented, professional and genuinely passionate about wildlife and the Waterberg ecosystem Comfortable living and working in a remote, live-in bush environment Stable work history with contactable references Key Responsibilities: Lead morning and evening game drives across the Game Reserve Conduct guided bush walks in line with qualifications and reserve protocols Deliver engaging, safe and personalised safari experiences for discerning local and international guests Maintain vehicles, equipment and firearms to the required standard at all times Ensure guest safety during all activities without exception Host guests during sundowners, bush events and special dining experiences Maintain accurate wildlife sightings records and reserve communication Support lodge operations and contribute positively to the team Package: Gross Salary: R18,000 to R20,000 per month (DOE) Live-in: Accommodation and meals provided Should you feel you are the right fit for this role, please apply with your updated CV, contactable references and a recent head and shoulders photo ASAP! 📌 Please Note: If you do not receive feedback within 7 working days, kindly consider your application unsuccessful.
