Description Housekeeping & Laundry Manager - Iconic Luxury Boutique Lodge - Sabi Sand, Mpumalanga Kendrick Recruitment is searching for an experienced, hands-on and detail-driven Housekeeping and Laundry Manager for a prestigious Big Five luxury safari reserve in the world-renowned Sabi Sand Game Reserve, on the edge of the Kruger National Park. This is a multi-lodge operation with a strong international guest profile and a vibrant, energetic team culture. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 20 housekeepers across two lodges, managing all housekeeping and laundry operations to an exceptional 5-star standard. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 5 years' experience in luxury hospitality housekeeping - essential Minimum 2 years' housekeeping management experience in a 5-star lodge - essential Proven ability to lead and manage a team of 20 or more housekeeping staff Extensive computer literacy including MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint HMS Infor and Sage knowledge advantageous Strong organisational skills with proven cost and inventory control experience Excellent written and verbal English communication skills Realistic understanding of and genuine adaptability to remote bush living Stable work history with contactable references Key Responsibilities: Ensure 5-star guest experience through implementation and continuous upholding of exceptional housekeeping standards Manage, oversee and schedule a team of approximately 20 housekeepers fairly and efficiently Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house and laundry facilities across both lodges Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback and implement training initiatives Manage housekeeping supplies, equipment and par stock levels at all times Oversee departmental budgets with a strong focus on cost control and waste reduction Ensure full adherence to operational standards and Health and Safety guidelines Implement all special requests pertaining to the housekeeping department Review guest feedback and address complaints promptly and professionally Maintain close working relationships with all other departments to ensure seamless operations Who You Are: Genuinely passionate about people and service excellence Hands-on, proactive and solution-oriented Highly accountable with exceptional attention to detail Calm, flexible and adaptable under pressure Strong interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity and patience A positive attitude and a team-first mindset Package: Basic Salary: R18,000 to R22,000 per month (DOE) Live-in: Basic furnished accommodation provided Food allowance: R2,614 per month at on-site stores Medical Aid: 50% company contribution (after 3-month successful probation) Pension Fund: 50% company contribution (after 3-month successful probation) Rotation: 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off Guest gratuity share, company revenue gratuity (1%) and 20 bed nights for family and friends annually - applicable from 2027 Permanent employment Should you feel you are the right fit for this role, please apply with your updated CV, contactable references and a recent head and shoulders photo ASAP! πŸ“Œ Please Note: If you do not receive feedback within 7 working days, kindly consider your application unsuccessful.
