POSITION REQUIREMENTS The successful candidate must have: FGASA NQF 4 – essential FGASA Backup Trails qualification – highly advantageous / preferred Valid First Aid Valid PrDP Valid driver’s licence Minimum 2–3 years’ guiding experience in a luxury safari lodge or private game reserve Strong knowledge of South African fauna, flora and ecology Excellent bush and tracking skills Confident and engaging guest communication skills Professional appearance and exceptional personal presentation Ability to conduct outstanding game drives and interpretive experiences Strong hospitality awareness and attention to detail Ability to work effectively as part of a professional lodge team A genuine passion for conservation, wildlife and the safari industry THE IDEAL CANDIDATE We are looking for a confident, mature and highly personable female guide who can represent an exceptional luxury safari brand. You should be: Naturally warm, engaging and guest-focused Passionate about delivering memorable safari experiences Confident with international and high-profile guests A strong communicator and storyteller Calm and professional under pressure Team-oriented with a positive attitude Well organised and disciplined Comfortable working in a remote bush environment Keen to continually develop your guiding and naturalist knowledge Backup Trails experience will be a significant advantage. RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will be responsible for: Conducting daily game drives to an exceptional standard Delivering engaging and informative safari experiences Ensuring guest safety at all times Wildlife interpretation and environmental education Maintaining excellent vehicle, equipment and guiding standards Assisting with lodge operations when required Building strong relationships with guests Supporting the lodge team in delivering a seamless luxury guest experience Participating in conservation and reserve-related activities where required PACKAGE Excellent remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
