Summary An exciting opportunity is available for two Guest Relations Officers to join a prestigious 5-star luxury lodge in the Eastern Cape. We are looking for polished, guest-focused hospitality professionals with previous Front of House experience within a 4/5-star lodge or luxury hospitality environment. The successful candidates will support the Lodge Management team with the daily operation of the lodge while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and consistently high service standards. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy being hands-on across Guest Relations, Front Office, Food & Beverage and Housekeeping within a luxury lodge environment. Description Key Responsibilities Welcome guests and assist with check-ins and check-outs Ensure guests receive exceptional service throughout their stay Attend to guest requests, queries and additional service requirements Build strong rapport with guests through professional hosting and interaction Support the Lodge Manager and Assistant Lodge Manager with daily lodge operations Conduct housekeeping checks according to required lodge standards Supervise restaurant operations before and during meal services Support service staff and ensure service standards are consistently maintained Ensure meals meet required presentation and quality standards before leaving the kitchen Assist with Food & Beverage service and guest hosting Liaise with senior lodge management regarding operational concerns, variances and opportunities for improvement Assist with stock counts Assist with weekly and monthly operational reports Ensure all guest-facing areas consistently meet 5-star standards Work closely with the Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Lodge Management teams Minimum Requirements Hotel Management Diploma/Certificate or equivalent Minimum 1–2 years’ Front of House, Guest Relations or similar experience Previous experience within a 4/5-star lodge or luxury hospitality establishment Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage Service, Housekeeping and Front Office operations Excellent spoken English Professional, polished and well-presented Strong guest relations and customer service skills Knowledge of hosting and/or butler service Computer literate in Microsoft Office Intermediate Excel skills Knowledge of Lightspeed, Sage Evolution and Protel advantageous Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving ability Ability to contribute positively within a team environment Driver’s licence preferred Willing and able to work within a lodge environment in the Eastern Cape Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be a warm, confident and professional hospitality individual who genuinely enjoys interacting with guests. You should be comfortable working across different lodge departments and understand the level of attention to detail and personalised service expected within a 5-star luxury lodge environment.
