Duty Manager – Luxury Lodge Group | Madikwe Game Reserve An exceptional opportunity is available for a passionate and experienced Duty Manager to join a prestigious luxury lodge group based within the world-renowned Madikwe Game Reserve. We are seeking a polished hospitality professional with strong operational knowledge, outstanding guest engagement skills, and the ability to lead by example in a high-end safari lodge environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless daily lodge operations and delivering unforgettable guest experiences synonymous with a luxury safari brand. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily lodge operations during shifts, ensuring exceptional service standards throughout all departments Act as a senior point of contact for guests, managing guest relations and handling special requests and concerns professionally Support and guide department heads and lodge teams to maintain operational excellence Assist with FOH operations, guest hosting, check-ins/check-outs, and overall guest experience management Ensure lodge standards, presentation, and attention to detail are consistently maintained Monitor staff performance, motivation, and service delivery Assist with staff training and development initiatives Support stock control, basic administration, reporting, and operational procedures Maintain effective communication between departments to ensure smooth lodge operations Step into operational leadership roles when required Requirements Previous experience in a Duty Manager or senior FOH role within a luxury lodge or 5-star hospitality environment essential Strong understanding of luxury guest expectations and personalized service delivery Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Professional, well-presented, and service-driven personality Strong leadership and staff management abilities Ability to work well under pressure in a remote lodge environment Good administrative and organisational skills Knowledge of lodge systems and reservations platforms advantageous Valid driver’s licence preferred Stable employment history with strong references Package Competitive salary package dependent on experience Live-in position Meals and additional lodge benefits included Opportunity to grow within a respected luxury lodge portfolio Only candidates with relevant luxury lodge experience will be considered.
