Busy Restaurant in Sandton is looking for a Griller. We are looking for a skilled Grill Cook who will be responsible for preparing and cooking various grilled foods, such as burgers, steaks, and chicken. In this role, you will be expected to follow recipes and cooking instructions, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards. Duties: Season, marinate, cut, and portion meats, poultry, fish, and vegetables before cooking. Grill food items to specific temperatures and customer requests while ensuring correct presentation. Monitor grill temperatures, manage daily mise en place, and restock inventory. Clean and sanitize grilling equipment, utensils, and workstations according to health regulations Requirements: Grade 12 A formal qualification At least 2+ years’ experience in a similar position Ability to operate and maintain grilling equipment Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Good communication and teamwork skills Prior experience working as a grill cook or in a similar role Knowledge of different cooking techniques and seasoning Excellent time-management and multitasking skills Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
