LUXURY LODGE COUPLE LODGE ANCHOR & FIELD GUIDE Exceptional Private Reserve | Northern KwaZulu-Natal Geran Ellish Recruitment is seeking an exceptional couple to join a prestigious luxury lodge situated on an outstanding private reserve in Northern KwaZulu-Natal. This is an exciting opportunity for a couple who each bring strong, complementary skills to a luxury safari operation — one as an exceptional Lodge Anchor, and the other as a highly accomplished Field Guide. We are looking for a couple who are passionate about luxury hospitality, wildlife, conservation and creating extraordinary guest experiences. This is an intimate environment where personality, professionalism, attention to detail and the ability to work seamlessly as a team are essential. LODGE ANCHOR The Lodge Anchor will be responsible for ensuring that guests receive an exceptional and highly personalised hospitality experience throughout their stay. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Welcome, host and farewell guests Become the primary hospitality point of contact for guests Create genuine and memorable relationships with guests Anticipate guest needs and deliver personalised service Host breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and sundowners Assist with bush breakfasts, special dinners and guest experiences Ensure all guest areas are presented to exceptional standards Coordinate closely with the kitchen and guiding team Assist with daily lodge operations Manage guest requests and special arrangements Maintain excellent service standards throughout the guest journey Assist with housekeeping and lodge preparation when required Contribute creatively to improving the overall guest experience Work closely with management to ensure smooth lodge operations LODGE ANCHOR REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience within a luxury safari lodge, 5-star lodge, boutique hotel or high-end hospitality environment Strong hosting and guest-relations experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A warm, engaging and naturally hospitable personality Exceptional attention to detail High standards of personal presentation The ability to confidently interact with international and high-profile guests Strong organisational abilities A hands-on approach to lodge life The ability to work independently and take ownership A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and safari A guiding qualification would be advantageous but is not essential for this position. FIELD GUIDE The Field Guide will be responsible for delivering exceptional, personalised and highly engaging safari experiences while contributing to the overall guest experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct exceptional game drives Deliver informative, engaging and personalised guiding experiences Interpret wildlife, ecology, fauna and flora Share knowledge of conservation and the surrounding environment Build strong relationships with guests Host guests during drives, sundowners and bush experiences Maintain the highest standards of guest safety Ensure the game viewer is clean, safe and professionally presented Conduct vehicle and equipment checks Assist with bush breakfasts, sundowners and special guest experiences Assist with general lodge hosting when required Work closely with the Lodge Anchor and management team Contribute to creating a seamless overall guest experience FIELD GUIDE REQUIREMENTS FGASA NQF 4 / equivalent guiding qualification Previous experience within a luxury safari lodge or private reserve Strong knowledge of South African wildlife, ecology, fauna and flora Excellent communication and storytelling skills Genuine passion for wildlife and conservation Confident and engaging personality Strong guest-relations skills Professional presentation Valid driver's licence PrDP advantageous First Aid qualification advantageous Back-up Trails Guide qualification and experience would be highly advantageous. THE COUPLE We are looking for a couple who can operate as a strong professional team while excelling independently within their respective roles.
