Safari Lodge based close to Windhoek, Namibia is looking for an enthusiastic, creative and passionate Chef to prepare quality meals and contribute to an exceptional guest diningexperience. Open to Namibian Citizens only. Duties: Prepare, cook and present dishes according to approved recipes and established standards. Ensure meals are ready on time and served at the correct temperature. Prepare snacks, cakes and biscuits for coffee service and game-drive activities. Cater for vegetarian guests and other special dietary requirements. Keep food preparation areas, equipment and storerooms clean and hygienic. Clean ovens and other cooking equipment before and after use. Report maintenance issues, breakages, shortages and health or safety concerns. Assist with additional kitchen duties as directed by the supervisor or manager. Requirements: At least 3 years’ experience as a Chef. A culinary certificate or Level 2 qualification would be advantageous. Sound knowledge of cooking methods and correct food preparation. Ability to read and follow recipes accurately. Ability to understand instructions in English or Afrikaans. Experience preparing vegetarian dishes and meals for special dietary needs. Good interpersonal and communication skills. A positive approach to teamwork and a passion for food and hospitality.
