Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical work, painting, carpentry, and air-conditioning. Conduct daily inspections and preventative maintenance of guest rooms and public areas. Maintain swimming pools, plant equipment, and general lodge infrastructure. Respond promptly to breakdowns, maintenance requests, and urgent repairs. Identify potential maintenance issues and take corrective action. Assist with grounds maintenance and lodge improvement projects as required. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment. Minimum Requirements — Non-Negotiable Experience: 2–3 years of proven maintenance experience in a lodge or hotel environment. Lodge experience will be strongly preferred. Technical Skills: Good all-round knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, building maintenance, and general repairs. Driver’s Licence: Valid driver’s licence. Professional Conduct: Sober habits, reliability, a neat appearance, and a guest-friendly attitude. Availability: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and standby duties when required. Location: Currently based in the Hoedspruit area or willing to relocate.
