LODGE RESERVATIONIST Exceptional Game Reserve | Eastern Cape Geran Ellish Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly organised Lodge Reservationist to join an exceptional luxury game reserve and lodge operation in the Eastern Cape. This is an exciting opportunity for a reservations professional who understands the luxury safari environment and can confidently manage the reservation process from initial enquiry through to guest arrival. THE POSITION The successful candidate will be responsible for managing reservations and ensuring a seamless, professional experience for guests and travel partners. Key Responsibilities: Manage all lodge reservations from enquiry through to confirmation and arrival. Handle direct, agent and tour operator bookings professionally and efficiently. Process bookings, amendments, cancellations and special requests. Maintain accurate guest information and reservation records. Liaise closely with lodge operations, front office, management and finance teams. Communicate effectively with travel agents, tour operators and guests. Prepare and distribute accurate booking confirmations and pre-arrival information. Manage room availability and maximise occupancy and revenue opportunities. Follow up on enquiries and convert potential bookings into confirmed reservations. Ensure all reservation information is accurately captured and communicated to the lodge. Maintain excellent knowledge of the lodge, surrounding reserve, activities and guest experiences. Deliver a consistently high level of service aligned with a luxury hospitality operation. REQUIREMENTS Previous reservations experience within a luxury lodge, safari or high-end hospitality environment is essential. Strong working knowledge and practical experience with Semper is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong administrative and organisational abilities. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently while maintaining close communication with the lodge team. Professional, confident and service-driven personality. Ability to manage multiple reservations and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong computer literacy. Previous experience dealing with travel agents and tour operators will be advantageous. A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and the safari industry.
