Group of Quick Service Restaurants based in the V&A Waterfront is looking for a hands-on and commercially driven Financial Controller to support its franchise operations. This role ensures financial integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance across multiple stores while partnering with operations to drive profitability. Duties: Prepare and present monthly financial results per store and consolidated group Analyse store-level profitability (sales, food costs, labour, overheads) Assist with business analytics in terms of reports and deep dive analysis of financial performance Monitor key cost drivers including food, labour, and expenses Ensure accurate daily sales reconciliation and cash control processes Ensure SARS compliance (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax) Oversee audit readiness and internal controls Develop and maintain SOPs for finance and store processes Design and enhance financial and operational reporting Manage creditors, debtors, and accounting staff Monitor cash flow and working capital across stores Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Honours Degree in Accounting (preferred) Completed SAICA Articles At least 2+ years post-articles experience Exposure to retail, FMCG or QSR environments advantageous Strong knowledge of SARS compliance Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with accounting systems (Sage, Xero, etc.) POS systems experience advantageous Commercial and operational mindset Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and high accuracy Ability to work in fast-paced environment Strong communication and leadership skills
